Botanical Surveys
Pacific Northwest and Alaska

Turnstone provides a wide range of botanical services including survey design, field studies and surveys, analysis, monitoring and taxonomic work with both vascular and non-vascular plant species for a variety of private and government clients. Team expertise includes terrestrial and aquatic plant identification; noxious and non-native weed mapping and monitoring; and vascular and non-vascular plant services, specimen collection, and herbarium verification. Soil surveys and biomass monitoring and sampling, forestry research and management analysis, baseline inventories with special emphasis on sensitive plant species, and bio-indicator and ozone identification are also part of Turnstone's botanical program. We conduct botanical services as part of larger projects as well, such as landscape-level inventories, wetland delineations, Biological Assessmenents and Evaluations, and restoration projects.
