Whitewater Creek Hydroelectric Project
Willamette National Forest, OR

Turnstone conducted a variety of wildlife resource studies in support of the licensing of a proposed hydroelectric project. The studies involved identifying, classifying, and mapping wildlife habitat and assessing the likelihood of occurrence of 51 special-status wildlife species, by reviewing a variety of sources, including previous study results, wildlife resource database searches, communication with USFS and ODFW, and project-specific field investigations. Protocol-level surveys were also conducted to document distribution and abundance of northern spotted owls, red tree voles, terrestrial mollusks, amphibians, and osprey.
